Working Principle

A Sigma mixer works by using two blades that rotate at different speeds to mix materials through a combination of shearing, stretching, folding, and other actions:

Tangential blade design

In Sigma mixer The front blade rotates faster than the rear blade, usually in a 3:2 ratio. This design is used for materials with higher viscosities, such as adhesives, rubber compounds, and dyes.

Overlapping blade design

The blades rotate at the same speed and overlap each other. This design is used for materials with lower viscosities, such as carbon pastes, creams, and ointments. Dual-shaft design The blades rotate in opposite directions, allowing the user to control the amount of shearing by changing the angle of blade twist.

Sigma mixers are a type of double arm kneader mixer and are made up of several parts, including a kneading part, base part, hydraulic system, transmission system, and electric control system.
